Las Vegas fight fans will see Jonny Parsons return to the Octagon after more than three years away, when he meets Jose Souza at UFC Vegas 124 on November 7, 2026. Parsons last fought at UFC London in July 2023, and his comeback has been delayed by hip flexor and groin injuries.
Why it matters
For Las Vegas readers who follow the UFC's local card, this bout puts a 35-year-old veteran with a 9-3 record against a 24-year-old unbeaten prospect at 9-1. Parsons's long layoff raises a question no one can answer until the cage door closes: whether a fighter sidelined by recurring injuries can return to form.
Parsons has been away from competition for about 40 months, since his July 2023 win over Danny Roberts at UFC London. Souza enters at 9-1 and 24 years old, while Parsons is 9-3 at 35, and how his body responds after the layoff remains an open question.

He underwent extensive physical therapy and a new strength-and-conditioning program at the UFC Performance Institute, but repeatedly aggravated the injury after returning to training, which delayed his comeback. The injuries became severe enough at points that he occasionally struggled to walk or lift his legs.

Beyond the Strip
Parsons's path runs from a 2021 Contender Series contract to a Fight of the Night win at UFC London in 2023, and this bout tests whether that form returns after nearly three years away. The fight is set in Las Vegas, where the UFC's fight-week calendar keeps bringing local fans the sport's rising and returning fighters.
If you're heading to Meta Apex on November 7, expect fight-week traffic and plan your parking early. Watch whether Parsons's hip and groin hold up over the first rounds, since that will tell you more about his comeback than any record.
The takeaway
Parsons's return is a test of whether a fighter can rebuild after repeated injury setbacks, and the first minutes of the fight will show it. Watch how he moves early, because a rough start would confirm how hard the layoff has been on him.
