Families at Harris Elementary School will see expanded access to youth sports this year thanks to a new partnership with local business WOW Carwash. The company has joined the Adopt A School program for the 2026-2027 academic year to subsidize athletic fees and support campus staff.
Why it matters
Extracurricular activities are vital for student development, yet costs often limit participation for local families. This partnership seeks to remove financial barriers to athletics while providing necessary support for teachers and school staff at a major valley campus.
The partnership includes $3,850 for youth sports and $2,500 for staff appreciation, marking a total commitment of over $6,000 in cash and prizes for the year. This support is allocated across 20 WOW Carwash locations' broader community outreach efforts.

Beyond the Strip
This partnership operates within the established framework of the Clark County School District's Adopt A School program. It mirrors other recent local business initiatives that target specific campus needs, such as athletic equipment or staff retention support.
Families with students at Harris Elementary should monitor school newsletters for registration windows regarding the newly funded flag football, basketball, and soccer seasons. Staff members should watch for appreciation events occurring in November and mid-December.
The takeaway
This partnership lowers financial barriers for students looking to participate in local youth sports leagues. Families should look for updates from the school administration on how to access these funds for the upcoming athletic seasons.
What happens next
The next phase of the partnership includes staff appreciation activities on Nov. 3, 2026, and the Spring Festival on March 25, 2027.
