Local residents can now view a lock of hair and a prison letter belonging to Christa Pike at Zak Bagans' Haunted Museum. The exhibit, which opened Sunday, centers on items related to the woman who survived a botched execution last month.
Why it matters
The exhibit highlights ongoing public fascination with high-profile criminal artifacts, documenting communication from Pike since her 1995 murder conviction. Bagans maintains the display serves to preserve the history of these post-conviction interactions.
The display features items purchased in 2019, following the 1995 murder of Colleen Slemmer. Pike, the subject of the exhibit, famously survived two lethal injections during a failed execution attempt in September 2026.
